Storm Smart Industries has merged several divisions, product lines, and entities that have been built over the years, leading to a re-branding of the company to Smart Companies announced president & CEO Brian Rist.

When the company started in 1996, it focused mainly on the manufacturing and installation of residential and commercial storm protection products. As clients realized that its storm protection provided additional benefits such as energy savings, the company found their clients were looking for other smart solutions to a variety of home service needs, leading them to add numerous products and services.

“Our focus has become to build and create a company that is focused on helping our customers improve their lifestyles by living a sustainable existence and saving the environment – while at the same time, saving money,” said Rist

The company is developing divisions that will offer energy-smart solutions for home technology such as control lighting, solar water heaters, doors, windows and window coverings & more.

“Other divisions that we are growing into will include our solar and photovoltaic systems, energy efficient doors & windows, and of course the continued growth of our storm systems. The challenge was to bring these companies together under one branding umbrella. Our products make homes sustainable, greener and more energy efficient-that’s just smart. Hence the new name for our company.”

Smart Companies goal is to put clients in charge of their home and business appliances, electronics and other devises saving energy and saving money. The company offers assistance with energy saving home-automation  systems, earth friendly solar solutions, energy efficient doors and windows, and storm protection along with excellent customer service.
